Residential Inpatient
ASAM Level of Care 3.5 and 3.1
The goal of residential treatment is stabilization and preparation for a less intensive level of ongoing care. Residential care allows clients to experience a full separation from environments, triggers and substances. With fewer distractions and daily responsibilities, clients may focus on learning about addiction. Most importantly, clients are afforded the opportunity to gain clarity and perspective about the role of substance use in their life. This level of care is essential in moderate to severe cases of addiction, or in situations where clients don’t have a safe and supportive home environment.
Inpatient Rehab for Men and Women
Clients enrolled in our inpatient rehab programs will begin their treatment with a comprehensive diagnostic assessment facilitated by licensed counselors and certified mental health professionals. This assessments will help identify any addiction needs as well as co-occurring mental health issues.
The residential treatment program at Transformation House introduces clients to the science of addiction, core values of recovery, 12-step programming and relapse prevention strategies. Clients spend significant time in group therapy with other clients in the same stage of recovery. Each client also has individual sessions with a licensed substance abuse counselor, and has access to mental health practitioners and psychiatric services as needed. Together, clients and counselors work on individual treatment plans and goals. Our multidisciplinary team is well equipped with a variety of evidence-based approaches to tailor to client-centered individual treatment needs.
Family Involvement in Residential Treatment
Treatment also has a significant emphasis on work with the family. Addiction is often referred to as a “family disease,” depicting how excessive use impacts not only the using person, but their loved ones. At Transformation House, we provide family support during substance abuse treatment which includes education, counseling and support to family members as well as our resident clients. Individual and group family counseling are critical components for establishing new relationships and opportunities for sustained sobriety.
Transformation House provides spacious semi-private rooms with many amenities including fitness room and in-house chef prepared meals. Holistic therapies are also utilized, including recreational therapy and spiritual counseling.
While many residential treatment centers only offer 30-day programs, Transformation House is proud to provide up to 90-day care programs depending on individual’s needs. Unfortunately, 30-day programs are largely still the industry standard. Having the option to participate in an extended program at an inpatient residential treatment center can make a significant positive difference in client’s clinical outcomes.
Our discharge planning and peer support teams work in tandem to create a comprehensive aftercare plan for clients transitioning out of our residential program. The continuing care plan includes the locations of 12-step meetings, referrals to supportive sober living and transition to outpatient treatment programs.
